Traditional Healer, Storyteller, and Carrier of the Qilaut

ANGAANGAQ ANGAKKORSUAQ is a well-known shaman, traditional healer, storyteller, and carrier of the Qilaut (wind drum), and his family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North from Kalaallit Nunaat, Greenland. Angaangaq’s name means ‘The Man Who Looks Like His Uncle’. Since his childhood, he was trained by his family, especially by his Grandmother Aanakasaa for becoming a shaman. The spiritual task assigned by his mother which is: “Melting the Ice in the Heart of Man”.

Angakkorsuaq also bridges the boundaries of cultures and faiths in people young and old. His work has taken him to over 70 countries around the world. He conducts circles, seminars, and Aalaartiviit – traditional sweat lodges. His teachings are deeply rooted in the wisdom of the oral healing traditions of his people, which enabled people over thousands of years to survive in one of the harshest places on Earth.

Angaangaq is a Keynote-Speaker at international conferences about climate change, environmental, spiritual, and indigenous issues. Angaangaq is a Great Shaman, healer, storyteller, and carrier of the Qilaut (wind drum), and Eskimo-Kalaallit Elder. His family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North from Kalaallit Nunaat, Greenland.

In his Seminars and Workshops, he works to introduce into his work as a shaman, medicine man, and traditional healer, through his presence and warm heart energy personal transformation gets to happen. The moment he weaves his energy of the group with the help of his stories and chants into a circle of strength, the ice in the heart of each participant starts to melt. Then they all begin to see the world with different eyes, as our hearts open to the beauty in and around us and our awareness of ourselves and others expands.
