GENEEN ROTH is a well-known writer and a teacher who has gained international prominence through her work in the field of eating disorders. She has written various books including Feeding the Hungry Heart, Breaking Free from Compulsive Eating, When Food is Love, Women, Food and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything, and Lost and Found: Unexpected Revelations About Food and Money. And, her books focus on the link between compulsive eating and perpetual dieting with deeply personal and spiritual issues that go far beyond food, weight, and body image. She has also written monthly columns in Good Housekeeping Magazine and Prevention Magazine.

Roth is known as the author of books, which include the just-released This Messy Magnificent Life and, Lost and Found, Women Food and God, New York Times bestsellers When Food Is Love as well as The Craggy Hole in My Heart and the Cat Who Fixed It. Over the last thirty years, she has also worked with thousands of people in her groundbreaking workshops and retreats.

Geneen has appeared on several national shows, which include The Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, the Today show, Good Morning America, and The View. She recently lives in California with charms of hummingbirds; her husband Matt; and Izzy the fabulous, eating-disordered dog. She works to provides a gentle, guiding hand for those in search of comforting words to help them build self-esteem and assert control over all aspects of life
